Dreams. Thats what the best transportation projects begin with. Look at the Big Dig. Yes, its enormously expensive, but this jewel of Boston's 21st century began as a dream. Just think -- submerge an eight lane interstate through the heart of downtown? It almost sounds crazy, and yet, there it is... just a few months before the northbound lanes open to all traffic.
The mission of this page is to provide as much information as possible about every transportation project in planning, in progress, or in discussion around
the greater Boston area or directly affection the Boston area. We aspire to have pages devoted to each project, compelete with a coherent summary of the
project and links to other sites with more information.
Perhaps more importantly, this site is also a place to dream, to share your ideas, discuss their merits and drawbacks, and to serve as a forum for
transportation ideas in the Boston area. So please, read, dream, and contribute your ideas!
